Fun Baby Gifts

I've had a few friends who have had babies recently - and I've made some pretty cute baby gifts for them, if I do say so myself.

This set of burp cloths and a blanket is for a friend in our ward who just had a baby boy. I thought it turned out very cute. Even though we live in AZ and it is still 100+ degrees outside, I thought the blanket would be useful for when it does get a little chilly. If nothing else, they can put it on the floor for the baby to lay on.

I also have a friend who just had twin girls. I didn't have enough of my girl fabrics to make solids of any of the burp cloths, so I got creative and stiched some together. I think they are really cute.

I have loved making these burp cloths for friends. They are super easy to make, and I think they make a great gift. I can't wait to be able to make some for myself someday.

That's it. I've also made another set of boy burp cloths for one of Justin's co-workers - but they are very similar to the top picture, and I didn't want to bore you with too many pictures of the same thing...

Fun Stuff

I've have been completely remiss in actually taking pictures of things I've been making. So, here is some of the jewelry I've been making.

I have been wanting to make a necklace to go with my big button bracelet. I love it. It's super long and a lot of fun!

Sweet Tweets! I really like these earrings. They turned out super cute.

Classic Black and White. I am always in need of good black and white earrings, and these are perfect.

These earrings are some that I made for my one friend who entered my giveaway on my other blog. There is still space for 4 more winners... You can click here if you want to enter. Here's the deal. The first four people to comment, don't even have to re-post - I will just make you something and send it to you.

I absolutely LOVE these dice earrings...and so do a lot of people. Of all the earrings I have made I get the most comments and compliments about these. They are so simple, but a lot of fun, and extremely darling.
I just like these. I created the loop beneath the earrings with sterling silver and added the beads.

These earrings could have a post of their own. I originally made these two years ago at the first "annual girls get together," and they were great. They were just a little different, but the first time I wore them I broke them. Lame, I know. It was my fault. Anyway, I tried making them two more times, and finally ended up with these - I love them! And this time, I won't break them :)

Happy Birthday!

I made a really fantastic birthday present for my mother (if I do say so myself!)

Here is what I did:

I was trying to allude to springtime flowers...but with earrings....do you get it? :) I decopauged the fabric onto a small glass vase I had lying around my craft room that I have been wanting to do something creative with. I love the way it turned out. I was sad to see it go. But, it was actually a trial run for a much larger vase that I have the intention of doing the same thing with.

As for the earrings...I love the way each of them turned out. I wanted to try something new with big buttons, and I think the yellow ones turned out fantastic. And I just love the orange earrings. I didn't take a picture of the third pair of earrings because they are just a simple green jade circle. I think I am going to have to make a pair of each of them for myself.

Anyway, I do have some more projects that I have recently finished including a scripture case as well as a really REALLY cute card. I'll try to get some pictures up soon. But don't hold your breath, it probably won't happen very soon - let's be honest :)

I'm still making stuff!

I have been so busy with school and work and other things that I have seriously neglected this blog.

Here are some pictures of the ornaments I made for Christmas this year. They turned out really cute, and I was very pleased with them.

A bunch of the ornaments. They are all made of paper and ribbon.

Hanging on the Tree.

I have also been working on some digital scrapbooking recently. It is actually what I have spent most of my free time working on. I have enjoyed using this system, but it was a little more time consuming than I expected. Still, I was able to create some really fabulous books and also some super cute calendars for my parents and in-laws for Christmas. Here are some previews of what I've done.

(**I removed the links for the calendars because they were not playing nicely with my blog.)

So that's what has been keeping me busy! I am hoping to spend some more time on making jewelry over the next few months, but it'll be hard because I am definitely going to be busy.

New Necklace

I made myself a necklace from a bunch of stones that I had. I really like it. It's long and goes with everything! :)

Pink Pearls

I've had a couple requests for earrings recently, so here are some of the things I've come up with.

These are very similar to another pair of earrings that I made for myself. My co-worker saw them and said she wanted the same pair for her mother, only in pink. And this is how they turned out.
I made this pair for myself from the same set of pearls. I bought a whole strand of these while at the bead show in Vegas a few weeks ago, and I have been having a lot of fun with them.
This final pair I made for one of my bosses. He saw the earrings I made for my co-worker and then the earrings I made for myself and decided that he needed a pair for his wife as well.

I am overall really happy with the way all of these turned out. I think I am going to have to make myself a pair similar to the ones I made for my boss, because they are quite fabulous--if I do say so myself.

Pink and Black

And so...here is a picture of some earrings I made myself this weekend. I have these fabulous pink and black beads that my mother gave me a while ago (the spiked ones), and I have been trying so hard to come up with some cool earrings and I think I succeeded. I like them at least. They are long, but still quite nice.

Enjoy!
